NYC Photo Stroll

About Us

NYC Community Photowalk (@nycphotostroll) is a meetup and social group for New York City-area photographers. We organize our own photowalks around NYC, support each other's work, and stay in touch via group chat. This meetup was formed in June 2022, by and for NYC-area photographers. We're open and inclusive to all. Feel free to attend one of our events, and bring your friends!

For the third rendition of the NYC Photo Stroll Zine, we would like to focus on elevating the creativity and vision of the individual. Rather than limiting the allowable selected works to those taken on walks, we invite you to submit any work that you feel embodies the theme(s) of: Documentary, Collaboration, Technical & Home.

  • Documentary: Images that capture moments of specific people, places, or events that tells a story over a period of time.

  • Collaboration: Images that are made through the use of collaboration - whether it's with an individual, group or community.

  • Technical: Images with visual enhancements created by photographic techniques.

  • Home: Images that display the environment that makes you feel at home.

This issue of the zine marks an opportunity for you to showcase your most personal work and we invite you to share it with your peers in our community. Use these categories as inspiration while you gather past work or head out to shoot.

We’ve journeyed together during our walks. Now show your peers what you can do.
