The theme of this group exhibition will focus on the concept of community and society. Your photograph should express the personable, meaningful elements of what it means to be part of one. This can range from moments of intimate relations, celebrations and gatherings, cultural representations, or anywhere in-between. Think about diverse perspectives, inclusivity, change and everyday life - to give you some ideas on what to portray in your submission.
Where and when:
The exhibition will take place at Art Cafe & Bar in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn from Friday, 10/27 thru Thursday, 11/16 (3 weeks). There will be an opening and closing party on these dates, respectively.
Acceptance:
Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until Saturday, 10/21.You may also sell your work(s). Art Cafe & Bar will take a 30% commission from any sales and will process them on your behalf.
Eligibility:
You must have attended at least one photo walk with NYC Photo Stroll. Photographs may or may not originate from one of our events. You may submit up to two photographs. Film and/or Digital mediums are accepted. Upon selection, all works must be framed and ready to hang. Works that are not prepared upon drop-off may have their acceptance nullified.
Minimum Print Size: 8 x 10 inches
Maximum Print Size: 12 x 18 inches
Ethical Guidelines:
Do not exploit vulnerable individuals and/or communities for the sake of your photography. Respect the private, cultural and social nuances of any individuals and/or communities in your photograph(s). Works that contain inappropriate and insensitive content are subject to being denied.
